Dear Federal, Virginia, and Iowa Governments:
In an effort to reduce the rage felt by millions of Americans each year during tax time and reduce the National debt, while supplementing State budgets in a time of economic crisis, please consider the following proposal.
I would gladly let you keep the several thousand dollar refund our family receives every year just so that I would no longer have to endure the "process" we call filing our taxes. In fact, I would actually pay you significantly MORE money if I could be exempt from this process altogether. I hate it. That. Bad.
Think about it, tax man. You ask me 4-5 standard questions about income and dependents and determine I am a regular, run-of-the-mill person who will likely receive a few thousand dollars back from the government. You get to keep my refund. In addition, I pay you an additional $1,000 to opt out of the filing process. So you've just made yourself a pretty little penny and helped pull the nation out of debt.
And I get to keep my nice, new pen looking shiny and bright as opposed to wiping the blood off it that normally otherwise would have occured from gouging my eyes out with it while doing my taxes. I also get about 20 hours (the total amount of time I've spent so far) of my life back each March.
A hell of a deal, right? A win-win for everyone. Please consider at your earliest convenience.
Respectfully,
The Parkers

Your little story just brought back memories of working!!! Doing W-2 in January for 30yrs...
The IRS offers you FREE forms to use to complete your payroll for the year and get them all out to employees QUICKLY so they can have this headache. BUT the forms they send you FREE are COMPLETELY
obsolete..They are for a typewriter
SO Small Company's and I suppose large have to BUY these from office supply shops...
Or you could do these ONLINE
then you have to also get the Social Security Office involved and you have to have so many to quality to do this. if that happens you have to meet some other requirements and on and on and on..
But Last year I made a call to the IRS...why do you send out millions of OBSOLETE FORMS, wasting postage, printing and a persons
(or I suppose many people)who would use these? no one types
we need FREE FORMS that FIT in a Computers Printer...we should NOT have to buy these....her response was most customers order and use these with a TYPEWRITER>>>>
I really blew a gasket like
the college was going to hand type
800 forms right lady...Then I ask her DO YOU USE A TYPEWRITER?
We don't even have one in this little tiny company I work for why would you think I SHOULD TYPE>
IT IS A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY
IT IS OBSOLETE
IT IS A DISGRACE FOR ANY ONE TO THINK THESE ARE USEFUL.
I AM GLAD I AM RETIRED THIS YEAR
and didn't have to deal with it.
Glad YOU had the snow...good for the kids young and old..
We had a melt down then ice
