Sometimes, like when my husband tells me that they have sent our Marines equipped with Iodine pills for fear of exposure to high radioactivity levels on mainland Japan (following Friday's national disaster), it occurs to me that we do not lead a normal life.
How messed up is THAT!?!?
Honestly, I don't even know... my radar for what is considered "normal" is sort of out of whack lately.
Ah... it could always be worse, though. Counting my blessings that we are all safe, happy, and free of radioactivity for the time being.
Have a great week!

I am thankful that all of you are safe. And is anyone's life truly normal, what is normal. But I do admit that your lives are out there. Thanks for taking on this challenge for all of us here in the USA! Continue to be strong and enjoy where you are at whatever time and place that may be. What an adventure for all of you. You are missed and loved here in Glen Allen.

Hi..sometimes I am a loss with words..CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I am thankful you all are safe. I pray for all those involved in this terrible disaster. It affects all of us world wide in every aspect of your lives.
That's 1 of my problems, thinking beyond what is just day to day living.
Military...thank God for EVERYTHING they and their families do for the world.
Most civilians don't even have a clue.
All you can do Meg is BE TOUGH..
Keep the shoulders BROAD, CRY if you must, (it's good for the soul) but hold your head high and BE PROUD. We have more than most, family and friends support, we should have STRONG Faith, and a mind to know the what we have to do. (notice I never mentioned money!!!)..
Take one day at a time, don't think to deeply and take the kids to a park.
Love you
It is ABNORMAL, but glad you are safe! Y'all sacrifice so much. Did you hear the First Lady is launching a campaign this month to provide awareness and outreach for our military families? Her point being that most Americans don't really realize how tough it can be, spouses of military men and women are warriors as well!!! I know you know all this, you're my personal hero! Hang in there, stay safe and keep us updated!
