Gone Again.

Right now, my husband is driving somewhere over the Tennessee border in my 2002 Mazda Protege, loaded down with 450 pounds of camoflauge pants, dress uniforms, his officer's sword, camo flashlights and other such gear they assure him is necessary for his 3-month school. Cleaning supplies, food staples and other necessities for life in the BOQ occupy the space previously held by Wyatt's car seat, and he has traded in the diaper bag for a sea bag on this 3,000-mile cross-country trip.

No worries - Wyatt and I will be fine. We have Tommy's family nearby, weekend trips to see friends planned, the swimming pool to visit, and Wyatt's 2nd birthday party to host! We have much to look forward to this summer. Our lives will go on happily. But the house will be quieter without the wrestling matches. The bed will be emptier, and my feet will be colder. And the true love of my life will be (temporarily) gone.

Safe travels, my love!

You're always welcome at our house! Or maybe Ethan and I can make a weekend trip up there while Ryan has a class. :-) Let me know if you need anything...I'm only a phone call away!
